Terms of Service

These terms govern purchases and use of DB Hosting services. They are intended to be read with our Privacy Notice, Cancellation & Refund Policy and Acceptable Use Policy. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK consumer law.

1. Services

DB Hosting provides web hosting, cPanel-based hosting access, website packages, website templates, associated support and related digital services. The exact service, price, billing period and included features are those shown at checkout when you order.

2. Orders and contracts

You must provide accurate contact and billing information. An order is subject to acceptance. A contract is formed when DB Hosting accepts the order and confirms the service. We may reject orders where information is incomplete, payment fails, the requested use breaches these terms, or we cannot reasonably provide the service.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are displayed before checkout. Hosting may be sold monthly or yearly as stated on the selected plan. One-off website or template products are charged once unless the checkout clearly states otherwise. Recurring services renew according to the billing cycle disclosed at purchase. You are responsible for keeping your payment details current.

4. Hosting activation

After confirmed payment, eligible hosting orders may be provisioned automatically through WHM/cPanel. Provisioning depends on successful payment, valid order information and service availability. Login details and access instructions may be supplied through the Customer Area and activation email.

5. Domains and DNS

If you already own a domain, ownership remains with you unless a separate transfer is expressly agreed. You are responsible for maintaining registration of domains you own. DB Hosting may provide DNS or nameserver instructions, but changes at a third-party registrar remain under your control. DNS changes can take time to propagate.

6. Websites and templates

Website design packages and standalone templates are digital services/content. Scope is limited to what is described in the package or separately agreed. Unless expressly agreed, purchase of a template does not include a domain, hosting, bespoke development, third-party licences or ongoing maintenance.

7. Customer responsibilities

You are responsible for content you upload, account security, lawful use of the service, maintaining appropriate copies of important data and complying with the Acceptable Use Policy. You must not use the service to infringe rights, distribute malware, facilitate fraud, send unlawful spam or conduct unlawful activity.

8. Availability, maintenance and backups

We aim to provide reliable services but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability unless a specific service level is expressly stated. Maintenance, security work, upstream failures and circumstances outside reasonable control can affect availability. Unless a product expressly includes a backup commitment, you should maintain your own current copies of important content and data.

9. Renewal, expiry and suspension

Recurring hosting remains active for the paid service period. If renewal payment is not received, the service may expire or be suspended after applicable notices. Suspension does not automatically erase amounts already due. We will act reasonably and consistently with applicable consumer law before terminating a consumer service for breach.

10. Cancellation and refunds

Consumer cancellation and refund rights are explained in our Cancellation & Refund Policy. Those rights may differ between ongoing services and digital content/services that you ask us to begin supplying during a statutory cancellation period. Nothing in our policy removes statutory remedies for services or digital content that do not conform to applicable law.

11. Liability

Nothing excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or statutory consumer rights. Subject to those protections, DB Hosting is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made or, for consumers, losses arising from business use.

12. Changes

We may update these terms for legal, regulatory, security or service reasons. Material changes affecting an existing recurring consumer contract will be communicated appropriately and will not be applied unfairly or retrospectively.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law applicable in the United Kingdom to the contract. If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings available to you under the law of the part of the UK in which you live.
