Cancellation & Refund Policy

This policy explains DB Hosting's cancellation arrangements. It does not reduce any mandatory rights you have under UK consumer law.

Consumer cancellation period

Where UK distance-contract cancellation rights apply, a consumer will normally have a statutory cancellation period. The precise right depends on what has been purchased and whether you asked DB Hosting to begin supplying a service or digital content during that period.

Hosting services

You may request cancellation through the Customer Area or by contacting support. Cancellation stops future service/renewal in accordance with the applicable plan. If you expressly request hosting to begin during a statutory cancellation period, the law may permit a proportionate charge for service supplied before cancellation where the required conditions have been met.

Digital templates and immediately supplied digital content

For digital content supplied immediately, statutory cancellation rights can be affected where you expressly consent to supply beginning during the cancellation period and acknowledge the resulting effect on that right. DB Hosting will not rely on such an exception unless the legally required consent/acknowledgement has been obtained.

Website design work

If you cancel bespoke website work after asking us to begin, you may be responsible for an appropriate amount for work already performed where permitted by law and properly disclosed. We will not impose disproportionate cancellation charges.

Faulty or non-conforming services

Cancellation-period rules are separate from your statutory remedies. If a service or digital product is faulty, not as described or otherwise fails to conform to applicable consumer law, you may have rights to repair, repeat performance, price reduction or refund depending on the circumstances.

How to cancel

Contact support@dbhosting.uk and provide your order reference and enough information to identify the service. We will confirm receipt of your request.

Refund method

Where a refund is due, it will normally be returned using the original payment method unless another lawful method is agreed. Processing time can depend on the payment provider.
